About Us

About Us

Who We ARE

We are simply Christians. We seek to be Christians just like the first century disciples-- in our name, belief and practice. Jesus said, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed" (John 8:31). We seek only to follow the words and instructions of Jesus and the inspired men who wrote the Bible (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20-21).

We exist as congregations all over the world— but are linked simply by our allegiance to Christ and our common faith.

We are not perfect, nor do we pretend to be. We try to nurture spiritual growth in everyone.  (Eph 4:12-13;  2 Pet 1:5-11).
We encourage people to use their talents to honor God and bless others.

Who We Are NOT

We are NOT in any way tied to inter-congregational or denominational organizations such as the United Church of Christ, the International Church of Christ nor the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We are not Jewish, Catholic, nor Protestant. Neither are we Buddhist, Moslems, Infidels, or Cultists.  We are simply CHRISTIANS (1 Pet 4:16).  Isn’t that refreshing?

The division of the religious world today is vastly different from the unity enjoyed by first century Christians (Acts 4:32).

Our Authority

We accept and submit to God’s Word, the Bible as our sole standard of authority (2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Pet 4:11).  It’s simply His Word found in the Bible that rules our lives (Psa 119:105).  It’s NOT the Bible PLUS the rules of any religious denominational Manual, Discipline, Catechism, Confession of Faith, Creed, tradition of man nor secular wisdom (Mat 15:9).

We do not pretend that we know the answer to every question.  We are to “Examine all things carefully, hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thes 5:21).  We look for book chapter and verse for all we should do as Christians.

When You VISIT

People often do not know what to expect when they visit for the first time. Our worship is simple—lively singing, praying, Bible-based, positive preaching, giving and taking the Lord’s Supper.  We assure you that we will not embarrass you in some way. Our guests are welcomed and respected. We will not single you out, ask you to raise your hand, call on you publicly, ask you to take the Lord’s Supper, nor to contribute to the collection (which is primarily for members of this congregation).
